HISTORY
The first production of the Old Roan Dramatic Society, as it was then known, was a double bill of "The Ghost of Gerry Bundler" and "The Iron Ann" in September 1927.Members were former pupils of the Roan School for Boys, a reputable Grammar School in Maze Hill, or it's sister school, the Roan School for Girls, in Greenwich. Much later, membership was opened to husbands of wives of former pupils. Nowadays anyone is welcome, whether they have a school connection or not.
Shows were performed on the stage of the Maze Hill building, until 1993 when it became too expensive. The company now performs at the Tyler Theatre, within the grounds of Eltham Green School.
